BUS 4343 - Economic Growth and Development3 Credit Hour(s) This course provides a study of economic growth and development in a global context with emphasis on the developing world. Topics include theories of economic growth, theories of development and underdevelopment, domestic challenges to development such as poverty, inequality, population growth, urban migration, property right protection, government intervention, and the environment, and strategies to spur the development of underdeveloped countries such as, international aid, foreign direct investment, and micro-finance.
Prerequisite: BUS 2353 , BUS 2343 , MAT 1853 or higher (not including MAT 2003 ) Availability: WPB: Spring
