PHL 3603 - Biomedical Ethics

Deals with the moral problems arising in the practice of medicine and biomedical research. Students explore the philosophical foundations, theories, and principles of medical ethics. The course covers issues such as euthanasia, abortion, consent, privacy, refusal of care by patients, organ donation, physician-assisted suicide, do-not-resuscitate orders, human experimentation, justice in health care policies, and more.
