NUR 3412 - Medical-Surgical Nursing II: Clinical2 Credit Hour(s) This course provides the clinical component to NUR 3403 Medical-Surgical II Theory applying concepts of health promotion, disease prevention, and disease process for diverse adult and older adult populations and their affected families in the Medical-Surgical setting. The nursing process guides compassionate, patient-centered, evidence based partnering with patient and family. Ethical and legal values and the Christian worldview are interwoven in a culturally congruent process in each clinical setting. The professional role of the nurse is developed at the novice level as students provide care in the acute care setting.
Prerequisite: NUR 3343 , NUR 3352 , NUR 3013 ; NUR 3223 Corequisite: NUR 3403 ; NUR 3043 Availability: WPB: Fall/Spring
