PLS 3033 - The Founders’ Constitution3 Credit Hour(s) This course is a comprehensive examination of the United States Constitution and major primary sources that informed the Framers’ constitutional construction. Such sources include selections from Blackstone’s Commentaries; private letters and correspondence of the Framers; the Federalist; relevant legal procedure; Records of the Federal Convention; Joseph Story’s Commentaries on the Constitution; Locke, Montesquieu; and others. The course also explores the “Higher Law” background of the U.S. Constitution.
