PHY 4003 - Thermodynamics and Statistical Mechanics3 Credit Hour(s) This course is a study of thermodynamics and statistical mechanics. This course will examine the microsystem and investigate how the statistics of the microsystem give rise to the macro thermal quantities like temperature, internal energy, and entropy. These techniques will then be applied to different types of gases; ideal, Fermi, and Bose.
