MUS 4992 - Entrepreneurship in the Arts

Survey of basic entrepreneurial strategies and components of engaging in an arts-related venture. Under-standing of personal engagement as well as fundamental issues that directly impact entrepreneurs in the arts. While not a business nor law course, students will explore different facets of business ownership inclusive of business licenses, contracts, intellectual property, copywriting, trademark, branding, social media, publishing, management, marketing, and concepts of website design.
