BUF 4533 - Derivatives3 Credit Hour(s) The aim of this course is to provide a comprehensive overview of derivative contracts such as forwards, futures, swaps, options and other non-standard products. It will help students to gain the intuition of the theoretical framework behind their pricing while providing the necessary skills for their use for investment, risk management, and prediction purposes. It also introduces students to Fintech, its regulation and use within an ethical framework consistent with Christian values. This is critical given the role of derivatives and quantitative finance in the recent financial and economic crisis of 2008.
