THL 2153 - Christian Faith and Formation3 Credit Hour(s) This course is part of the Faith, Roots, and Reason program aiming to form virtuous citizens of professional, civic, and faith communities. The course is designed to introduce students to the depth and beauty of the Christian life through theological reflection on Christian thought and practice. It is structured around the theological virtues: faith, hope, and love. The course explores faith by examining scripture, foundational Christian doctrines, and historic creeds. The course considers the church and society as communities of hope ordered toward a common good. Finally, the course considers the Christian vision of ethics and human flourishing through the lens of love: loving good things in the right way, to the right degree, in the right order.
