DAN 4902 - Dance and Career

The course is a study of career preparations in the professional dance world. Students will learn the skills needed to pursue and manage a professional career in dance and/or allied professions and address character building from a biblical worldview. Includes surveying the professional world of dance, where, how, and when to seek employment, self-marketing, dance resumes, dance reels, auditioning, interviewing, and other necessary preparations for a career in dance or related fields. Guest speakers and field trips to local professional companies may occur throughout the semester. Registration required for dance majors in their junior or senior year. May be repeated for credit. Fees and travel expenses are not included.
