EDU 4363 - Foundations and Applications of Differentiated Literacy Instruction

3 Credit Hour(s)
This course examines the developmental skills and concepts of reading, with an emphasis on recognizing and diagnosing reading difficulties. Candidates will learn to prescribe and implement appropriate, research-based methods and materials to improve reading performance across diverse student populations. The course includes practical application through required teaching experience in a local school setting. Each candidate will receive instruction and be assessed on the uniform core curricula in the language arts area during course work and 16 hours of practicum.
