NUR 4102 - Maternal Nursing: Theory

This course applies nursing theory and critical thinking to the care of women and childbearing families from conception to birth. Health promotion and optimal patient wellness are explored, with a focus on woman’s health, and the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn periods. Quality improvement concepts and the nursing process are utilized to develop culturally competent nursing actions that promote optimal wellness.

Prerequisite: NUR 3043 NUR 3233 NUR 3242 NUR 3403 , and NUR 3412  
Corequisite: NUR 4111
