NUR 4111 - Maternal Nursing: Clinical1 Credit Hour(s) This course provides the clinical component of NUR 4102 HY and applies the concepts to maternal and newborn clinical areas. The concepts of health promotion, disease prevention, and illness for childrearing families are reinforced in the clinical setting. The nursing process is utilized while implementing compassionate, patient-centered, evidence-based care that respects patient and family preferences. Ethical and legal values and the Christian worldview are interwoven in a culturally congruent process in clinical settings. Maternal and newborn nursing scenarios using simulation before direct patient care experiences are provided.
Prerequisite: NUR 3043 , NUR 3223 , NUR 3242 , NUR 3403 , and NUR 3412 Corequisite: NUR 4102 Availability: WPB: Fall/Spring
