Program Learning Outcomes

- Create theatrical productions in a collaborative and comprehensive process while recognizing their place in the larger context of the liberal arts.
- Evaluate scripts for conceptual, redemptive and dramatic value, and apply analyses within their craft.
- Demonstrate a broad knowledge of dramatic literature and the history of theatre and apply praxis.
- Evaluate the challenges of being a Christian in theatre and articulate how faith informs ones choices as a theatre practitioner.
General Education Requirements - 38 Credit Hours
Theatre majors must meet the Baccalaureate Degree Requirements as set out in the General Education Program .
- Fine Art Requirement: Theatre majors fulfill the two-hour fine arts elective through major study.
- Global Studies Requirement: Theatre majors fulfill the three-hour global studies elective through major study.
General Education Recommendations
Social Science Requirement: Theatre majors should carefully consider taking COM 3573 - Communication Research Methods to fulfill the Social Science requirement.

These practical applications of competencies may be repeated for credit. Enrollment is offered by instructor approval only through an audition/interview process. Theatre majors must fulfill the requirements of one of the following tracks:
Acting for Stage & Screen Track - 28 Credit Hours

Musical Theatre Track - 28 Credit Hours
