Program Learning Outcomes

“Expected student learning outcomes specify the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes students are expected to attain in courses or in a program.” Page 69. 1. Students present confident public performances that demonstrate acceptable technique, stylistic expression, and interpretive musicianship.

2. Develop future private teachers who possess the appropriate skills to teach keyboard instruments effectively.

General Education Requirements - 41 Credit Hours

Music and Fine Arts majors must meet the Baccalaureate Degree Requirements  as set out in the General Education Program .

• Fine Art Requirement: Music and Fine Arts majors fulfill the two-hour Fine Arts elective through major study.
• Global Studies Requirement: MUS 3003 - World Music  is required as the Global Elective.
• Science Requirement: PHY 1063 - Acoustics of Music  is required as the Science Elective.
