Bachelor of General Studies

The Bachelor of General Studies Degree (BGS) is awarded upon completion of PBA’s required General Studies Degree program. In addition to the General Education requirements of 43 credits, a student must complete an approved General Studies area concentration to include, but not limited to, a minimum of 21 credit hours of 3000 or above level work. As with all undergraduate degrees, a student must complete a total of 120 credits, 42 of which must be upper-level, to be graduated. To apply for candidacy, the student should have completed a minimum of 90 credit hours of college work, and an application should be made no later than one full semester prior to graduation. A student is admitted to the program with the approval of the Dean of the school in which the concentration resides. Applications for admission into the program can be obtained through the Office of the Registrar.
