General Education Requirements - 43 Credit Hours

Sports Broadcasting majors must meet the Baccalaureate Degree Requirements  as set out in the General Education Program .

Production Labs - 8 Credit Hours

All Sports Broadcasting majors must enroll in and successfully complete SPB 3041 - Sports Broadcasting Lab   in each semester beginning upon declaration of major.  The lab is designed to offer students the opportunity to develop skills in the various professional positions in a typical sports broadcast.  The lab is structured so that active student athletes will be able to compete in their individual sports during the season without adversely affecting their participation in the lab.  This lab may be repeated for a total of 8 credit hours.

Note:

*9 additional credit hours of upper-division coursework are required to meet the 120 total and the 42 upper-division credit hour requirements.

Gaming and Interactive Media Design Concentration

Game design is a challenging skill that influences how we interact with and experience digital media. A strong foundation in computer programming is essential for all members of modern game development teams. The most effective way to learn game development is to work through a hands-on production process.

This concentration is optional. These courses will not meet the requirement for the additional 9 credit hours of upper level courses.
