Lower Division Nursing Degree Requirements

Biblical Studies - 6 Credit Hours
Note:
- BIB 1003 must be completed before progressing to the senior year of the Upper Division Nursing Program. Students who transfer directly into the program may have to take this course in the summer term. Failure to complete the course requires the student to wait until the next available cohort.
- THL 4153 is taken in the senior year as part of the Upper Division curriculum.
Communication - 9 Credit Hours
Humanities and Social Science - 20 Credit Hours
Note:
- Fine Art Electives must be completed before graduation.
- PLS 3003 must be completed before progressing to the senior year of the Upper Division Nursing Program. Students who transfer directly into the program may have to take this course in the summer term. Failure to complete the course requires the student to wait until the next available cohort.
- PSY 2133 and PSY 2183 fulfill the Social Science Elective requirement for the General Education Program.
Introductory Nursing Requirements - 12 Credit Hours
Note:
NUR 2003, NUR 2004, NUR 2012, and NUR 2023 are taken as part of the lower division nursing, but require acceptance to the upper division major for enrollment. Chemistry and Anatomy & Physiology I are prerequisites. Anatomy & Physiology II and Microbiology may be taken concurrently.
Mathematics and Science - 22 Credit Hours
Physical Education and Orientation - 1 Credit Hours
Note:
- FYE 1001 is required for all students entering with fewer than 30 credit hours.
- NUR 2004 fulfills the Physical Education requirement.
