Program Learning Outcomes
“Expected student learning outcomes specify the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes students are expected to attain in courses or in a program.” Page 69. 1. Students will define public relations and the four-step process for successful public relations programs and campaigns.
2. Students will demonstrate skill in writing strategic messages for global, diverse audiences in a variety of media formats.
3. Students shall understand standards of performance, professionalism and ethical conduct for public relations practitioners.
4. Students will demonstrate skill in developing strategies, goals, objectives and tactics to solve public relations problems or to take advantage of public relations opportunities in a variety of social contexts.
Graduation Requirements
Conferral of a Baccalaureate degree in this program of study is determined by successful completion of the Baccalaureate Graduation Requirements outlined here .
NOTE: Students must earn 39 upper level (3000-4000) credit hours in order to graduate. A total of at least 21 of these upper level credit hours must be completed in the selected major.
