ART 2143 - Ceramics For Non Majors3 Credit Hour(s) Designed for the Non-Art Major, Ceramics for Non Art Majors is an introduction to clay as both an artistic and functional medium. This course is for students wishing to explore ceramics and develop skill in traditional hand building and wheel throwing techniques including some surface enhancement techniques, and glazing. Students will work within historical and contemporary craft traditions beginning to develop a personal visual vocabulary and learn critical evaluation. Attendance is four hours of studio instruction each week.
